TRUST

Listen. Respect. Follow through.

  • Put students at the center: Ensure every decision begins with what students need to learn, thrive, and succeed — and that every student has access to the support and opportunities they deserve.

  • Make sure student supports work: Strengthen accountability for IEPs, 504 plans, and academic interventions so families can be confident their children's needs are being met — in schools where students and staff feel safe, respected, and valued.

  • Listen to the people closest to our schools: Create meaningful opportunities for students, families, educators, and staff to be heard before important decisions are made, fostering respect and collaboration across the district.

TEAMWORK

Work together. Build partnerships. Support strong leadership.

  • Support our new superintendent: Work collaboratively with the superintendent to develop and implement a strategic plan with clear priorities, shared goals, and meaningful measures of progress.

  • Break down silos: Strengthen collaboration among schools, central office, educators, families, city government, and community organizations.

  • Build on Stamford's strengths: Bring our schools together with local nonprofits, businesses, higher education, and other partners to expand opportunities for students.

TRANSPARENCY

Clear communication. Meaningful input. Accountability.

  • Make the budget a year-round conversation: Engage the community early and often, presenting district and budget information in ways that are clear, timely, and understandable for families and taxpayers.

  • Explain the "why," not just the "what": Clearly communicate the reasoning behind major Board and district decisions — and give residents a genuine chance to be heard before they're made.

  • Follow through on commitments: Set clear goals, communicate progress, and stay accountable for delivering on what we say we will do.
